KICK'R Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 We started out at Gary light, but fishing was slow we went 1 for 3 on coho so we decided to make a move. We ran to the inland wall and started taking fish off the wall near the shoals. We picked away at them, but couldn't keep them hooked up. We took a nice king for this time of year at 9.9lbs and it was the first king to hit the deck this year! We ended up with 6 coho and 1 king to weigh for the tournament the king was big enough to take home the big fish pot in the tournament! Our best baits were stinger spoons on braid divers back 25-30ft and riggers down 10-15ft. The spoons in the pictures where our top 3 of the day. We fished mostly 25-35 fow all day. We had a great time fishing our first tournament of the season we want to send a special thanks to THESOUTHEND.ORG and their sponsors for putting on the tournament!
