I worked in the MiStinger booth at the Grand Rapids Sport RV Show today. They are coming out with a new product this year. This is a Dive Bomb.

The Dive Bomb is an add-on planing weight. The planing surface at the front of the "DIVE BOMB" compounds the dive curve allowing you to fish deeper without using more weight. It can be attached at any point in your line without retying and will not fray, flatten, kink or otherwise weaken any type of line. These are available in 1, 2, 3, and 4 ounce sizes. Mark Romanack has agreed to include this data in the next edition of Precision Trolling (the bible for controlled depth fishing).

A 4 oz Dive Bomb attached to a full core will get your bait down to 68-75'. I dont know about you, but I would rather reel in a full core instead of 15 colors. How to rig: Run 5 colors out and attach the Dive Bomb. Then run the rest of the core out and attach your planer board. You can also use it on mono and get the affect of using a half core.

This is a new product, and is not available in any stores yet. They do have some for sale at the Grand Rapids Sport RV Show. Stop by the MiStinger/Amish Outfitters booth for a demonstration.

If you stop by the booth, let them know that you heard about the Dive Bomb on Great Lakes Fisherman.

Hi all,

I just got a few of the dive bombs yesterday, they do look like they will work. I'm curious to test the depth I can acheive with wire line and a dive bomb. I'm hoping to get it down to around 40 feet with just a bomb and a spoon. If you guys get a chance to run them let me know how it goes. I know you guys will be fishing before my boat gets launched :D

Oh Boy.......another thing to take up space in my boat.

They look like they will put some depth on your line for sure. But what do they retrieve like? They look like they may help the fish out a tad.

But if it's made and sold by Michigan Stinger, I'm sure it will work. .....Hold on....I'm gettin out my checkbook.;)

Hi all,

the dive bomb mike posted is the two ounce, the photos a little larger then the actual bomb. I have a 2oz orange one here and it's actual size from front to back is 2"inches, the width of the bill on front is 5/8"of an inch.

The green 3oz is 2 1/8" front to back, width of the bill is 7/8" of an inch. I'll post a picture in a few minutes.

Just another tool for the box. Time will tell, if this tool will gain acceptance. Maybe next year I'll hear all the fantastic reports on this GR8 new product, and just have to have a few. I use Dipsys, leadcore, Bottom Bouncers, Jet Divers, Inline weights, snap weights, Rubber core weights, Downriggers, and just plain old sinkers, to get my offerings in front of the fish. I probably should have some of these. By the way, I just had Perch and Walleye for dinner. (about once a week)

I said never, then maybe to leadcore. Now I'm setting up a 8 color rod and a 2 color rod. (Cazz You're a smooth talker).:)

Just like Tim Taylor when he walks in Sears, and views the Craftsman tools. My nipples are getting hard.

Ya Buddy,

I allways told my self that I'd never run lead core because of how many fishermen have problems with other boats. Well that full core was really hot for me and so was the SWR rod with the two colors. But allways be on the defensive side Priority because there is still other fishermen that just don't care about what you have behind your boat.

Good luck this year,

Rich
