mrhookup Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Had lines in the water from 5:45-8pm last night and managed to go 3/3 plus a catfish that hit a Happee meal spoon on a 150 copper in 150FOW. We fished straight out and South, best water was 160-175FOW on a NE troll, 2.2 at the ball. Water warmed up quite a bit out there with surface temps around 67deg and 50deg down 50-60ft, it warmed slightly outside of 130FOW. Here's what worked: 300' copper on stern planer out the back of the boat - magnum modified blue dolphin - 2lb laker 75' copper - Stinger UV jäger bomb - 8lb steelhead Low diver out 120' - magnum Happee Meal - 8lb King October nights don't get much better than last night. tgafish Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Amazing to see this picture and then be greeted with 3-5 foot breaking rollers at 7am this morning!
mrhookup Posted October 6, 2016 Author Posted October 6, 2016 Yeah the wind started to kick up a bit after the sunset, you could tell it was going to pick up. Were you able to fish this morning?Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
