New York State DEC fisheries officials talked and Lake Ontario charter boat captains raised pointed questions at two meetings concerning a joint New York / Canadian plan to cut Chinook salmon and lake trout stocking levels in Lake Ontario by 20 percent.

They get it.  Stocking 1 laker for every 5 kings.

And yet they gave idiots that want to stock bait.  That comes up at every meeting...

It really is amazing the difference in perspective of NY/Canada and our DNR, and just look at the quality of their fishery for kings compared to ours now. I vote to have them manage Lake Michigan as well
