Dr Hook Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 Set lines just outside pier heads at 6 AM with good marks, made 2 passes with no hits. Marks evaporated so began heading out at 3.0 gps, 3.1 at the ball to cover ground. Took one hit on rigger 25 down in 55 fow with Moonshine Crab Cakes. Continued to head west and by the time we got to 100 fow we could tell it was going to be tough fishing with lots of calls for fishing reports on radio so continued to head out looking for better water. 46 deg water was 25 down in close but by the time we made it to 200 fow it had dropped down to 50 feet. Finished at 230 fow and decided to pull lines and call it quits, no sense trolling back through all that dead water. King was only 3 lbs,but at least no skunk and I'll know enough to stick closer in tomorrow. 1
