KICK'R Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 We fished in the terrible waves on Friday afternoon for a few hours with nothing to show for it but a sea sick passenger. On Saturday we tried in close where we did well 2 weeks ago but didn't have any action. The water had warmed up quite a bit and was almost the same temperature top to bottom so we moved out a little deeper. We still weren't having any action so we decided to run to where we had heard of good reports and as we were pulling lines ended up getting a nice coho but we already had our minds set on moving so we did. It ended up paying off for us as we got our 2 man limit by 9:30am. On Sunday we headed to the same area but the fishing had slowed up a bit we had good action to start then in got slow. We ended up with 6 silvers and released 3 lake trout and lost about 7 all in all a great weekend of fishing all besides the terrible flies! Our best action was in 55-65fow with our baits down 20ft to the bottom. Michigan stinger UV green gator on a 8 color was by far the best bait of the weekend! 1
