phishtix Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Went fishing Friday. Water is very cloudy from the recent rains. Water temps are still running fairly cold. Alewives are in close now. Only got one today but he was a big one. Biggest one I've caught in quite awhile. Going to grille him over the fire tomorrow. Been doing this honey teriyaki and pine apple marinade thing. Really good cooked over an open fire. 2

CornHusker Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 How are you catching them? If you don't want to share, I under stand. Just wanted to know if it was with hardware or if it was on bottom Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
phishtix Posted August 4, 2016 Author Posted August 4, 2016 Corn Husker, that fish was caught using shrimp under a float. Shrimp is probably my favorite for summer runs off the pier. Alewives work really good to. And spoons when the water is the right temp. I like to use a float rig for the shrimp and for Alewives I use a slip rig on the bottom. 1
