coralee Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Looked for Coho first not really expecting much but wasn't sure about wandering deeper with the stiff wind but after no success we headed deeper changing baits toward laker stuff. Hit a nice brown in the 40' range and then got our 5 lakers to finish with a nice box. Not quite as hot as last week but I think the wind and currents made it really tough today. Not sure what spoon got the Brown but it had burnt red on one edge and orange on the other. Lakers were on dodgers and spin n gloss except the last one on a blue dolphin 200 copper. 5
dan agnello Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 thanks coralee, have boat on trailer in marina yard at St Joe until end of May but they r getting kings and lakers down there too. Looks like blue dolphin and mag BD are working very well and of course, dodgers n flies for lakers. I do have cowbells too that I might try on one line. Taking green horn n her husband out to St Joe Sat.
FBD Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Trout limit is three of a species five total. You could have boxed another laker. Thanks for the reports and keep them coming. We fished South Haven last week because of them. 1
coralee Posted April 21, 2016 Author Posted April 21, 2016 Thanks for the limit info, I wasn't sure on Browns. I'll remember next time :-)
