coralee Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Beautiful day for a shake down cruise with Brant. Boat ran well and managed 1 brown on an orange rap. Wanted to spend time fishing the piers but they were full so trolled the beach south with no hits except snags and then trolled out in the river water aprox 20' where we got the skunk out. Didn't see any pier action but they stayed so Maybe? or maybe the cold front slowed things down. Water 36-38, river water 40-44. Nice to get the season started and work out the bugs. Tried to take a pic of the brown but my phone quit in my hand-guess it didn't like wet hands. 3
FBD Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 We were the 19th boat out of Port Sheldon this morning. Coasties were pulling people over in Pigeon Lake. Nice flat day water was 33 and clear. Managed one laker in 40' off a River Rocker. Way too much traffic in close to think about trying for browns.
