Downrigger braid line

Going to use braid on downriggers to 12 lb weights. Any suggestions as to what pound test or brand?

Maybe I should rephrase, does anybody use braid? If not, what are advantages of wire?

Had 250 lb power pro on my old boat.  It was quite with no wire whine, and your able to put on as much line as you want.   I wouldn't be surprised if snagged you would rip a rigger off before that line breaks lol.

I have a 300 yard spool of 250# PowerPro that I was going to use on a couple of downriggers where the wire needed to be replaced.  I then went with new riggers and decided not to use it.  Would sell for a lot less than I paid.  $40 shipped if you want it.  Enough to do 4 downriggers with 200'+ each.
