Fishrmac Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Port Sheldon towards the bubbler is where I will go when I go soon. Find that warm water and give it a shot
Far Beyond Driven Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Saturday looks good. At least between the waves laying down and the rain starting. Anyone else thinking about it?
Far Beyond Driven Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 9/10 this morning. Four 16" kings, all natives, and five Lakers @ 4, 9, 10, 12, and 15.76#. We were throwing the boat out of gear to fight those, which stuck to the bottom like glue. Would have loved to keep a few. Jerry Lee mini streak took five, blue rapala two, magnum mongoose stinger, black river rocker, and black prism junior thunderstick a hit each. Spoons were one color cores. Fished 15-20' then tried the beach for browns, ended up with two kings in 4-5'. Kept the last two kings for dinner.
jdh Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Nice work Kevin. Unfortunately I came down with the flu this week and didn't make it out today. I'm thinking of starting my 2016 season early than most if this warm weather sticks around. How does a limit of lakers on January 1st sound!?
Fishrmac Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Awesome trip! I hit a branch of the Pere Marqutte today sand landed almost 30 trout and a steelhead. Way too nice to not fish today!!
Far Beyond Driven Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 I've got 12-31 and 2-4 but never January. I'm game...
Fishrmac Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 I've never fished this late, always hunting deer, rabbits or coyotes back on the farm. You guys need a rider holler. Or I am taking my own out...either way it could be a fun winter fishing
