littleboat Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Fished 3-4pm, 60ft to 118ft. 1 for 2, steelhead, 3# on a happy meal spoon, in 104fow, on 175ft copper, 2.5 sog, west troll straight out harbor. Water temp 54 on top 53.9 on bottom. Put lines down in 60ft, happy meal was hit once in 85ft when big steelhead jumped 10+ft twice on the air and finally managed to shake the spoon loose and then again when I caught the smaller one in 104. The SH hard 2 small undigested minnows that he upchucked. Trip was short because my outboard got clogged with the launch ramp green slime and I couldn't get it out of the system. I had to run on my backup motor (6hp). I finally cleared it when I came home and flushed it out through the hose port on the outboard. I then ran it with ear muffs to make sure it was functioning correctly. Back out again tomorrow if the weather holds. I think I will he using my electric motor to get away from the dock or anywhere near the dock.

tbutcher Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 There were a few birds, I didn't see them chase the bait. I was too busy trying to unclog my main motor while I was fishing .Sorry about that i don't have to launch the boat or i would have mentioned that. I did notice the water in pigeon lake has dropped the last two times i came out of the canal into pigeon and back in the props are just brushing bottom which i don't like.
littleboat Posted November 10, 2015 Author Posted November 10, 2015 Not a problem, I'll be using my electric trolling motor to get in and out the dock. Should be good fishing tomorrow. Weather is supposed to be great.
Priority1 Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Ed, GJ on the steel. Too bad about the slime in the cooling intake.
