News Posted September 23, 2015 Share Posted September 23, 2015 The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District has acquired 40 acres of a dense floodplain forest in the Town of Farmington, Wis.. Hydric soils in the floodplain serve as a low-lying sponge to absorb and store storm water during heavy rains and reduce downstream flows.More...
