Port Sheldon parking lot and ramp lights

Does anyone know why the lights are off at Port Sheldon? The parking lot and ramp lights have been off for most of the summer. Makes it tricky to navigate and back the trailer down.

A few weeks go I was there in the morning and it was turning on and off.

Is that a city launch? Find out whose launch it is and call them. If light was flickering could be bad lamp or ballast (transformer) that drives the lamp. Did night fish using Benton Harbor DNR launch last yr. No lights at launch or parking lot. Our tax dollars at work.

This spring they now have new LED fixtures at the launch.

It is a DNR launch with a park ranger there to collect fees until 5 pm. We often fish from 6 to dark so we never get to see the ranger. This is the first year the lights have not been working.

According to the DNR info page on the Pt. Sheldon ramp and it says that the Holland State Park does the management. The contact # listed is: (616) 399-9390
