littleboat Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Fished 6-11 I thought I was going to give my lures a good washing today. Very few marks. Did the 80-120 fow trip down to tunnel park, which was turning out to be very uneventful. Picked alot of weeds off my lures. Then as luck would have, some 6# plus size steelhead, decided to throw himself upon my hook. That was it, nothing afterwards. Good thing I took a previous blogger advice and sharpened my hooks. Thanks! With all that said, hit came at 8:54am, in 120 fow on a 200 copper (32#) with a mongolian beef spoon super glow 4", north troll, 2.7 sog, water temp 72.
mrhookup Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 what brand of spoon is that? Is it one of Moonshine's casting spoons?
littleboat Posted July 28, 2015 Author Posted July 28, 2015 It's a Moonshine 3.75" length spoon, but not a casting spoon. It is heavy. You would think it would be, because of the weight.
Fishrmac Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Sharp hooks are awesome!! Everyone should sit with a 6 pack and just have a hook sharpening afternoon. I did and have about a 90% landing rate the last 2 years.
