GLF Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Would you buy a boat that has been in salt water? Why would you, or wouldn't you buy it?
CaptLevi Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 No. Not unless the price reflected it. Salt water is hard on boats.
Priority1 Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 No, I wouldn't buy a Salty. There are too many fresh water boats for sale in our area. I am running a 20 yo SC Islander that I bought last yr. The boat was used on the GLs and only needed a few mechanical things and some cosmetic work. I do my own mechanic work (if at all possible). Too many Saltys don't get rinsed after every use, and if they are slipped, forget it. I would much rather spend a few $$$$ more on a fresh water boat.
