highpointdf Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Worked the mud most of the time. 32' worked for us. Took three fish quick. 1 king and two Steelhead, moonshine spoons, and mixed veggies. High diver back 35', 30' CU, and a 100' CU. then it slowed. Fished 25-50 FOW. Took 1 other rip on a high diver in 45 FOW. Took a picture or two of the cloud bank, it was crazy looking, we may have spent a little too much time admiring it. We started pulling lines, it changed real fast, 1' chop to 4' waves in about a minute. That was the nastiest weather I have ever been out in.
ZachEno Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 You are not kidding that storm was nasty! We were in the mud as well and got a nice steelhead on s 3 color and Moonshine Red Pepper spoon. We saw the storm coming and beelined it back to Port Sheldon. Got off the water just before the heavens opened up. That was our first time in the mud this year. Stinks about the weather as the fish were stacked in there.
