Hotdog71 Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Has anyone read Dan's new book? Is it new material or a rehash from his other books? Is it worth the purchase?
Reel-Deal Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 just got it - about half way through. It is well worth the read, I do have his first one too - I can't say it is just a rehash of the same ol' same ol' as it's been some time since I read the first one - I would recommend it...
laker1 Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I have read it and now re-reading it for about the 5th time marking special passages. The book stands on its own following the first one. Recommend you buy both of them for your library!
1 old guy Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 I agree. Worth the money. A lot of new information.
SUPERTRAMP Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I have all 3 the new one has some really good information for more advanced fishermen. Dan also points out the experience is the best teacher, learn your area, fish the active fish. Kings are active early and late in the warmer thermocline, and during other periods at temps from 42 to 48 degrees. The most intriguing information was the link he gave for lake currents.
