Bottom fishing

Let say you want to fish bottom in 60 ft of water,what depths do you put your downrigger,accounting for blowback and current direction and waves and stuff?

I can pick my cannon balls up on my graph. Have you tried playing with your settings to see if your graph will?

Drop the ball till your cable goes slack and that's bottom , and if you want it to stay on bottom , continue doing that till you see it dragging. The depth will be different with weight size, speed and current.

let the cannon balls down until you gets slack cable then retrieve it till its tight and lives in about a foot I'll get you right where you want to be

Either Way will get you in the zone, Have a tin can with spin & glow 10-15 behind. You will find green.
