sparky30 Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Well had okish fishing the last 2 days, started yesterday about 5 miles south of saug. 65ft. Nothing was hot, best depth was 75, ended with 3 kings, 2 10's 1 shaker, 2 steelhead one sub legal. and 3 lakers. Best set-up was a 6 color with mamoosa pro king. Nothing else went more than once. Ended the day in 6th place on the amateur side. 112points 42lbs Day 2, started farther north few miles north of saug. started quick 10 lb king, and lost another around the same then got a 4ish lb king late in the day on 300 copper, mag moonshine...name? Green one side chrome on other big glow eye. Nothing else was hot, all deeper fish today though, 13 color, full core, riggers got a few from bottum up to 35ish. Had a big greaser 14.75lbs moonshine mag happy meal. ended up just picking them up here and there, ended with 6 trout 3 kings 1coho. Made the looong run back in the 1775 tracker, got a bit ruff for a while. Ended up almost identicle weighed 7 again, for 110pt. 40lbs ended up in 5th on amateur side. around 3.0 was best speed going north 2.5 2.7 south. Yesterday everything was south troll today everything north. NOOO pattern to anything, lakers were thick from 60-75ft. silver fish were 75-90ft for us. O our kings looked healthy id say, but not sure where all these 16 17 18 lb kings ive been hearing about are? Big fish for tourny was like 15.77lbs out of 79 boats in 2 days, big trout 16 2 big trout was ours. Virtually no steelhead cought
SUPERTRAMP Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Tough fishing in St Joe too. We are starting to see the results of the decision to reduce plants. I certainly hope that the Charter guys start releasing these 10 to 12 inch fish they are killing.
