Sun Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Hello. What are the best binoculars for fishermen? I've read that the most appropriate ones are from Levenhuk and Celestron. Is it correct?Thank you for any advice
Dr Hook Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Depends on what your willing to pay. If money is no object I'd go with Steiner marine or maybe look at image stabilized binoculars. In any case your going to want a wide field of vision, say 40-50 mm.
Priority1 Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Sun, A warm to the GLF site. Buy the best you can afford. Binoculars are tough to use on a boat. The rougher the seas the harder it is to focus on an object. When viewing another boat from your boat and both are bobbing around it is challenging to say the least.
ekbelt Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Battery stabilized binoculars help with the bobbing around... but they're pretty pricey. If you ever get a chance to try them out it is incredible. I don't think I could ever afford them.http://www.westmarine.com/buy/fraser-optics--stedi-eye-mariner-binoculars-with-yellow-case--14414015?cm_mmc=PS-_-Google-_-Shopping_PLAs-_-14414015&adpos=1o7&creative=54604229644&device=c&matchtype=&network=g&gclid=CL7Zm8LDh8UCFWoV7Aodw1oAIw
