EdB Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Been pier fishing the last few weeks on the south end of Lake Michigan since more of the Michigan piers have been iced in. That has changed for the better in the last week and a ton of ice has melted. The kids are on spring break and we decided to head south one more time with the entire family. The fish cooperated and we all had a blast. My girls caught all the fish and were catching and netting them on their own. I just baited rods and took the fish off. Seeing my girls in action made it one of the best days I've ever had on the pier.
EdB Posted April 7, 2015 Author Posted April 7, 2015 We got some nice whitefish too. One of our best family fishing days ever. I had a 10 rod spread, now that was awesome on the pier. Here is our catch. Most came on steelhead skein on the bottom, got a few on crawlers and slip bobbers 8 ft down. Never got a fish on a spawn bag.
Priority1 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Ed, Nice Catch and great family fun. The girls will remember the trip the rest of their days.
