caznik Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 Hello Member's, This morning my two friends at work got up really early to go out crappie fishing at a private lake called Lower lake in Barry co. Man we stared fishing at 4:45am and was hoping to get in some crappies first thing. But the one fisherman and I was crappie fishing and nothing would hit at all. It was 5am now and the other fishing buddy was going for bluegills and started catching them at dark. This was the first time I ever caught bluegills in the dark fishing through the ice. So the other guy and I then went to bluegill fishing and ended up with 50 nice gills before it got daylight out. As soons it got daylight the bluegills just stoped hitting period. We stayed till 10am and then just went home. The best baits this morning was wax worms with green and orange moon glows. Its looking like maybe next week is going to get warmer out. So hope you all can get a chance and get some gills for your dinner.Well good luck and catch some fish,Caznik
