white whale Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Hi Guys, I'm looking at getting a new boat and debating between a Starweld 2000 pro or a Lund 1800 Sports Angler. Does anyone have any feedback on either of thes boats ? Thank you for any help. White Whale
RedRider Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 I would go with the welded hull. Partial to Hewes Craft. Love mine.
Captain Adam Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Not sure what you are looking for but I have a seaswirl 2101 I'm going to sell in the spring.
scobar Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I would go with the welded hull. Partial to Hewes Craft. Love mine. Agree on the welded hull, I have a 1997 19' Lowe since 1999 and love it, even has an aluminum deck
Priority1 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Ed, If they are both in the same condition I don't think you could go wrong with either one. Give me a call and stop on in when you're up this way.

Maybe the White Whale will see another year on da bay !!!
Priority1 Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Thanks Frank. This was going to be my retirement present to myself but it's getting mighty expensive !!! Maybe the White Whale will see another year on da bay !!! It's only money. I'm just hoping Priority1 hangs in there as long as I'm able to fish. It's always good to see you at the ramp or talk to you on the radio.
Twill23 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I have fished the Starweld 2000 a ton. It's an awesome boat. Handles beautifully, it's fast, and a downright walleye killing machine. They come with either an evinrude or a Mercury. I'm somewhat partial to the mercury. You get a lot of boat in the Starweld. They're typically less expensive than a Lund as well. Au Gres Marine will have a ton of info on them.
