Priority1
This Toughbook can do double duty. If you need a job site computer that can take a fall or a cup of water over the keyboard this may be for you. I have one on my boat and pick it up and take it with me on trips. These are not a wimpy laptop and weigh about as much as a shotgun. The weight is there to protect the product. One of their commercials show a Hummer driving over a close toughbook. This one is in good condition and hasn't seen the life that it was built to endure.

Priority1
This is a CF 30 MK2 dual core that has been upgraded to W7 pro 64 bit with COA. It also has 4GB of ram. It shows very little wear. Thanks for inquiring. I do have a CF 31 also if you are interested in a newer Toughbook. I formerly ran a CF 29 on my boat for 5 years. Nothing like these big screens for a reasonable price. They take a licking and keep on ticking.

Priority1
that was quick, I see that many up dates were made, but I am interested in how old it is I'll do some research and let you know. The current model is the CF 31. They sell for about $3000 new depending on what is loaded. If anyone that is interested wants some specific screen shots of your area let me know. scobar
you just use it as a mapping only tool correct? you have software that picks up your GPS (how does that work) then displays it. Can you use it any other way on the water? On shore it is a typical laptop?snap shot Niagara Bar Lake Ontario and the mouth of the Niagara rive at Lake Othanks Scott

Can you use it any other way on the water? On shore it is a typical laptop?snap shot Niagara Bar Lake Ontario and the mouth of the Niagara rive at Lake O thanks Scott If you notice a couple of the screen shots above have a red arrow that shows position in real time just like any other plotter. It will leave a track and you can write a page of information about any waypoint. The GPS receiver is USB and is about the size of a pocket watch. This is also a great planning tool on or off the boat. I'll fire up the laptop to get the screen shot you want. I'll turn the dashboard off to give as much view as possible. This shot will have 5 more zoom in steps. In fact I'll post two shots one zoomed to the max. Thanks for your patience it takes some time to do and post the shots. Zoomed all the way in it's about 2miles N-S & E-W Sitting on the dash I can see depth numbers from the back of the boat with my old eyes. LOL As far as these being used like a typical laptop yes and no. Don't drop or spill on the typical laptop. Of course these are heavier than most laptops. Click on pics for a larger pic view. Priority1
The cursor shows it's coordinates on the bottom of the dashboard the ones at the top of the dashboard are your location in real time.
Priority1
This system is so easy to use. The control key is used to control most functions. You hit Control and D and it enables or disables the dashboards. For Track it's T, For Automatic it's A, For Zoom in it's Z, For Zoom out it's X etc etc.The Toughbooks are more sunlight viewable also.
