WArning light on bilge pump

I have a 2011 pro guide tracker and have noticed in heavy rain or waves I can get more water in the boat than Im comfortable with. I installed another bilge pump automatic though and wonder if there is a way to install a light on the dash so I know it has kicked on?

Bill, I don't know what make bilge pump you have. But Rule makes quite the majority, and I'm sure their website has this info. on a sensor light. It's a great idea to always have one to monitor it working properly.

Yes, it's not hard to do, Rule does have the wire diagrams on its web site or you can find them by searching google.

It's usually pretty easy depending on the pump. Just install a switch that lights up when it's on in place of the old manual override switch and when the pump kicks on automatic it usually feeds juice back to the switch so even though the switch on the dash is off it will still light up. But that all depends on the setup of the pump it works 95% of the time.
