News Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Members of the Michigan Steelhead and Salmon Fishermen's Association warn a collapse is imminent and want the Michigan DNR to do more to stop the fall.More...
joelsanders Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 almost sounds like too many theories and politics in play also. I think it is crazy the way Huron crashed and is directly connected to lake Michigan. I know mother nature is amazing and has powers beyond our scientist brains. I personally would choose Salmon fishing over Lake trout, thats just me. I pray for a solution to these problems. And sorry to offend but the Native Americans rights to net and rape the great lakes needs to be rethought in the court of law.
Boltman Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 I agree , netting is robbing the Great Lakes of all species , can't tell me they get just white fish ... Selling it to casinos for major profits !!!! But how do we get rid of the Zebras . Maybe we need to do this from the bottom of the water column up!!! I believe it was 2011 that there was an abundance of elwives floating dead all over ludington , and fishing was tough because the boys were full already , so the elwives can and will come back on their own . And what happens when the zebras eat all the plankton , will they die and since they aren't native will they diminish and let the plankton come back thus making the elwives come back ???? Either rest assured man will screw this up big time . IMHO . Boltman
joelsanders Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Kinda like the chicken and the egg thing Boltman
Boltman Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Well it's almost like why did the chicken cross the road? And anything that included the DNR is like "why are there so many stars in the sky ?"Proactive , it's not in the DNRs play book . But don't try to bring your own firewood to a camp ground for sure , they get pissed when their revenue is down ....Boltman
