Versluis, a Chicago Water Management Department tugboat that ferries maintenance crews miles out into the lake to six water-intake cribs. Most of the water used by Chicago and dozens of suburbs flows into these cribs, where it is piped to shore, filtered and treated, and pumped to all of us. More...
