Copilottruman Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 I will be fishing northeast michigan for the first time on Sunday. Should be great weather. Dnr report says salmon are in close, but specifics would be greatly appreciated.
sslopok Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 I would go north of the harbor to sturgeon point and try it. Not an expert of that area in the fall but pull most of summer fish from that area.
hear fishy fishy Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Heard fishing was good this summer but never made it out of harrisville this year. In Alpena area blue Kato took fish every trip out for me. If you try by the point might run body baits as walleye are always nice bonus fish.
Copilottruman Posted September 12, 2014 Author Posted September 12, 2014 Okay thanks for the help guys. I plan on running just short of the point and then zig zagging north between 40-80. Maybe even bounce the bottom for some lakers.
