heartsticker Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 In the past two weeks I have made my 1st-6th trips out of Ludington. Learning new water was fun, no nets was even nicer... 6 trips 77 fish a good mix of kings, coho, and steelhead. I fished from 100' to 430' each day had a different bite. Plugs, spoons, FF, and meat all had its day and most of the time didn't get hit the next.
fishy1 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Good job on the fish it's nice we don't have the nets to contend with for now.
heartsticker Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 It is nice, I heard a lot of doom and gloom from people there about how bad the fishing is there right now. Everyone is fishing the way they normally do September 1st. I went out and fished the water for what it was. It was similar to fishing a June pattern for me.
Rascal Trophy Fishing Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Boltman, I get fishies every time/day I get to go out. As for Dan, heartsticker, he's a great lad. And so is his crew/family. They had a great time and shared all the info. on fishing with the rest of the dock daily. I would be proud to have Dan return anytime he wants to, with red carpet laid out to boot. Thanks Dan, we truly enjoyed your short stay, and don't forget to come back anytime, we welcome guys like this with open arms, and love. He's fishing all over Lk. Mich. this summer, and should have some nice stories to tell into the fall. The best to you Dan. Keep in touch my friend.
