Ridgeback rattler downrigger weights

I have been searching all over the net and I'm unable to locate Ridgeback Rattlers. Are they not produced any longer?

I have a pair in 103 fow 3 miles se of Port Washington.....dive down and there yours...but I want the sub troll probe

My 13 lb is in 300 fow off manistee. With my Dr probe... lol

I believe that Chip lost access to his manufacturing facilities to make them. He had the company up for sale a couple of years back but I don't think anyone bought it. He taught industrial ed in a high school, but has retired.

I have seen a few of them on ebay but not often. I use the 13# pancake weights from cabelas and they work good for me.

if your thinking about going with the 13# pancake weights you might want to check out downrigger weights on ebay. they have a set of dunker 12# weights for 90.00 and a set of 13# yeck weights for 97.00. the cabelas weights in 13# are 124.00 for a pair. ebay also has some weights made like the stinger weights.

Bill, another option which I really like are Salltys Balls, a fish shaped weight with less blow back that seems to draw a lot of fish off the bottom.
