Mc attack Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Gonna fish port Shelton for the first time sat. morning. Anybody have some do s and don't s for me? (shallow, NETS, .....). Thanks in advance
TheLynnAnn Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Buddies went out this morning, and didn't do well in shallow. It sounded like guys out deeper 160+ were doing the best. Flies and Meat rigs seem to be as good as anything.
mrhookup Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 From the launch heading out the lake makes a slow turn to the right. Stay down the middle (don't cut the corner) as it gets pretty shallow in there (4' at the deepest). After you get past this area stay to the left along the docks and you'll have nothing to worry about. As for the fishing, we're thinking of heading out in the morning as well and I'm planning on dropping in at 100' and trolling west with baits spread from 40-90'. The buoy which is located in 90 FOW is reading 68deg 70' down right now so there's a lot of warm water out there.
