Got 30lb power pro on #1 dipsy any looking for any references as to line out to depth ratio.. I have the 20lb mono guide but there's gotta be a braid chart out there...

Pick up a copy of Mark Romancks Precision Trolling that will answer all your questions. I have a copy that I leave on my boat. It's a must have in my opinion.

Good luck!

Never really worried about an exact number. On one of my first charter trips, captain gave ball park of 3 feet out = 1 foot down. Probably not accurate for shorter lengths like 3 or 6 feet, and the curve flattens out at 60-70 feet max, but accurate enough to run above my riggers.

More important to let line out same distance when fish bites no matter how far down it is. And start shallow, and let more line out if they don't get bit.

I have the book but lent it to a friend.. I'm headin out fri am.. Was just hopin someone would knot the basic depths/ line out like 40,50,60 to give me a starting point. Would hate to fish way under or over the fish I'm marking

My experience is about a 2 to 1 ratio for divers set on 1 and a 3 to 1 ratio with diver set on 3 . That's what I have found to be close and all I run is braid on my divers.

I have read that Braid generally goes 10% deeper than mono. Seems to hold true in my experience. You can use the published charts and add 10% and get close enough.

I ran braid and wire divers side by side for a couple of years and both run about the same depth ratio so if you can find a chart for wire that should answer your question.
