They were regular carp. Not much luck with the perch. Only caught 8.Sometimes perch jerking can be tough. On a recent Saginaw Bay Walleye trip we took 7 nice perch accidentally. Love it when we cam limit on eyes and get 6-12 bonus perch. Usually the perch caught trolling are in the 10"-13" range.
Fowlpursuit Posted August 5, 2014 Author Posted August 5, 2014 I hear that.. Whenever I see the perch fleet out I cruise up near them and drift while jigging 1/8-1/4oz kastmaster or Hopkins. Only get half the bites but almost never get little fish.
Salmon_slammin Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 There are LOTS of common carp jumpin around the pier. No idea why they were all jumping but there were lots of them. Don't fret they are not Asian carp.
tbromund Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Regular ole American Nasty ole good for fertilizing gardens CArp.....hahahahahNo such animal. Carp are not native to the continent, the common carp were just imported a long time ago, from Europe, where they were originally imported from Asia.Tim
