littleboat Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Finally got to HB today. 1st time this summer, long ride from Macomb (2hrs). The lake was calm (glass). trip was 7:30-10:00 am, 1 for 2 a small lake trout (released back to the water),it was 18". Lost something on another line 5 color, it took my pink panties and snapped the line. I was in 75-90' marking several pods of fish NE of the harbor. I did a cloverleaf pattern back into the pod everytime. Water temp was 66 on the surface and 46 at 70'. DR down 70' and back 60' with a green flounder pounder took the lake trout. Water was clear, but the wind blew up into 4' waves. Too much for my littleboat and I headed back to the harbor. I wish it could have been longer but the everyone had the same idea once the wind began its blow. Pictures were just before the wind blew. LB
stevesykora Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 very nice... I am looking forward to see what Lady Huron has to offer out of Port Austin this next week.hear of any other reports?
sslopok Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I fished port austin yesterday. 5 nice eyes in 30-35 feet of water in front of harbor. Also caught 3 smallmouths. It was quite rough all day. Spoons, meat, and big reef runners caught fish. Did not hear much about lakers and silver.
