sovaa4307 Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Got it before we started fishing this year, worked the first few trips and now i either get the dashed lines, or exagerated data. for example it said i was in 17* water the other day, and then it jumped to 97*. I've noticed out of the water, if i wipe the transducer with a rag, i get a realistic reading from the probe, but then seconds later its gone. Any ideas on what to do?
SeaCatMich Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 How old is the 9v battery in the probe? Even with alkalines I usually had to replace it every 2-3 days of use. When it gets low you get intermittent/weird readings.

So unless each battery was bad im thinking thats not it.
