dballock17 Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 does anyone switch to the slow troll setting on the front of the spin doctors (the hole closest to the back)? if so when? Also do you ever change to the less action setting on the rear where u attach the fly. I almost exclusively use spin doctors and i never change the settings. they are my most productive but just wondering if im missing something. Thanks for any input.
SeaCatMich Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I have done both but didn't get hit. Always when nothing else seemed to be working either so probably not a very valid test.
Line Dancin Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I set them on the holes for more action to the fly I tried the slow presentation and it just didn't seem to have enough movement on the fly. I am also using long leads and that makes a difference too.
dballock17 Posted May 28, 2014 Author Posted May 28, 2014 well i guess not many people have changed the settings or its a really big secret lol.
young gun Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 One day i put two out on each side of the boat, every other one had one in the action hole and the other two had less action hole. Less action hole seemed to be best.
joelsanders Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Can the less action setting be used for a presentation at a slightly higher speed? Gonna have to look and see what happens i guess.
FishingandHuntingUSA Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 It just depends on the day, I really the weenie flashers
dballock17 Posted May 29, 2014 Author Posted May 29, 2014 awesome thanks, ill probably give it a try this year.
