Rod past away early Sunday morning from what we believe to be a massive heart attack. He was a great friend and was the person that would do anything for another. He donated his time, boat, and fishing skills to many Child Wish outings. I personally spent the previous week with him and friends fishing walleyes on Lake Erie. I feel privileged to have spent so much time with him before this tragedy. He leaves behind a wife, son (16), and daughter (14).

As some of you know, he was in the middle of replacing the transom and power in his SeaCraft. All of the parts are there and a few of us will be finishing this for his family this summer. Hopefully his son will be able to enjoy the boat in the years to come.

If any of you have any further questions please feel free to PM me. Otherwise, please visit the link below for details about the service. It should be updated later this afternoon.

Rod was so funny I learned to not be taking a drink when I looked at his facebook posts. Hot coffee coming up thru the nose is no fun. He was a good guy and so glad I got to help him out a couple times, BW
