Trophy Specialist Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I got my two new motors installed today and got out on the Bay to do some break in this afternoon. There were icebergs still floating around and the water temp was in the 30s. We didn't even wet a line but we did mark a lot of fish. The Mercury four stroke 150 that I got ran extremely nice. It is a very quiet motor and it really came out of the hole quick with my boat. I will need to get a new prop for it though. I had a 21 pitch prop, but that one didn't turn enough rpms, so now I'm trying a 19 pitch prop that I have on it. The 9.9 Pro Kicker ran flawlessly today as that was the motor that I needed to put a couple break in hours on before trolling duties.

sfw1960 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Can I have your old ones Mike?? Lots of unexpected things "happening" around us this year - need new roof & some basement repairs... Was really hoping to make a return trip 0'er to see you again, but it looks like I will have to stay close to home & suck it up. RAS
