gmfishon Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 what the hell is this doing on a fishing site ? nice car but lets stick to the reason for the site please!
Boltman Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Her name is Shelby , yes it's a modern day beast , truth be told I'd rather have a Buick GSX but this will have to do for now , 550hp it's unreal .
Boltman Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Kid .... Your fine and some of us are board with fishing when you can't get out and fish.and aren't your fishing poles in the trunk hahaha. GMfishon .... Loose your shorts a breath!!!!!! There yeah go.... You'll be ok!!!!!!
Dr Hook Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Someone's gotta have a Barracuda pic to post on a fishing site.
kid coulson Posted April 15, 2014 Author Posted April 15, 2014 Boltman, is that your cobra? Dam sweet!! Modern muscle is pretty awesome.Truth be told, my big o'l 455 GS floats like a boat, been known to troll up some Barracudas and Stingrays back n the day. Almost nailed a rare Marlin one time but just couldn't get him to take the bait!
Nailer Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 I grew up in this era, and love to see these great cars.
Priority1 Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 I knew that was about a 70 model. I bought a new 2 door Impala in 1970 that same gold color. I'm glad you posted this. Pics of old cars and listening to old tunes can take you back in time. I was a young man in 1970.
1mainiac Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Made a decent living in the 70's and early 80's street racing won a lot of money and a bunch of cars. Only had a few that were pretty because I never kept them long enough to care about pretty back then. People think I am full of it but Frank should remember what I am talking about because in the 70's you could buy most of those muscle cars for under a couple hundred bucks. I bought a 1970 Dodge Charger R/T 440 6pack Pistol Grip 4spd in Plumb Crazy for 250 bucks from a Ford dealership sold it a couple weeks later for 495 bucks and was happy for the profit and the handful of races I won with it. Sold it because it was too slow and screamed fast so it was tough to get people to race. I had lot of cars back then one have have always wanted was a 69 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II my fastest highway car was a 71 Torino T code that was a spec built NASCAR race car. Could barely break the 13's but was just getting started at 125mph Shift from 3rd to 4th at 150mph and let it roll. I used to love killing Vette's on the highway with that. It took 17 cops too catch my brother in it and my dad made me cut the car up before it killed someone. I had to talk to a couple of the cops that chased him to get it out of impound one of them said he he was right behind him at 150mph and my brother drove off and left him I said that should of been the 3rd to 4th shift point he did not think it was funny LOL. The car was a moving violation anywhere you drove it loud and violent had headers that dumped into 3in side outlets no mufflers at all cammed to the max would not idle below 1500 and sounded like a top fuel dragster at idle. Darn I miss that car right now LOL. Would not miss the 2mpg avg though but gas was 30 cents a gallon back then.
Charger Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 When we're not fishing we play with our '69 RS Z28
pbrktrt Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 That is a sweet Camaro. Does it still have the 302?
pbrktrt Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 That makes it even sweeter. Very nice ride. One more question, is it a 4 speed car?
gmfishon Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Kid .... Your fine and some of us are board with fishing when you can't get out and fish.and aren't your fishing poles in the trunk hahaha.GMfishon .... Loose your shorts a breath!!!!!! There yeah go.... You'll be ok!!!!!! if your bored with fishing go to a non fishing website simple right ?
kid coulson Posted April 17, 2014 Author Posted April 17, 2014 Awesome stories and cars! That Z is worth more than my life insurance policy!I work for the PER-FIT corp which is a member of the Engine Pro Group. Part of my job is delivering engine parts to some of the machine shops in the west MI area. I see stuff on a DAILY basis that will knock your socks off!!
Boltman Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Yeah it's simple , I go to club Sea Ray site , GT500 site and here at GLF it's an awesome sight to post your fish porn, truck porn and muscle car porn , I believe there's a General Discussion section too , so I'm thinking General means just that!!!! It's not always about fishing , so loosen your shorts.... And don't make me send ore car porn to this post. Stop taking life so serious , it's not like anybody gets out Alive!!!

Stop taking life so serious , it's not like anybody gets out Alive!!! ok yes the site builders put in a spot for when nobody on a fishing website had any fishing related info they could put on whatever they want - i get it but why? want to talk about the lions odds of makeing to the superbowl ? fine but what does it have to do with this site and about fishing? if you have no outlet than to put your car on a fishing website how about focus on takeing a new person fishing-not saying abandond the car, i can have the love for both just thought not here and if i am the only i will respectfully let it go:no:
Boltman Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I get that but us guys here have a bond , some are even friends and friends share what they love and sense these lakes are still icy, what the hell lets share other pics other then fish , if we're friends and all. I'm all good your good lets let it go and move on
highpointdf Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I love the fishing and this site, but at times it is good to see and talk about other things as well. I think it brings members of the site closer together when you share other interests. Some nice cars, even the ford. And no, lets not talk about the Lions odds, they will disappoint you no matter how low your expectations are.
Far Beyond Driven Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Love my escort gt's. On my third over half a million miles between them. What they lack in muscle they make up for with high revs and wicked throttle lift over steer. Straight line is great with a big motor but flat out in third spraying gravel all to hell sideways at 70 down a two track is a riot. We stopped rallying when my wife got pregnant and bought the four winns instead. Also have a 1984 gslse rx7. Sounds like a room full of pissed bob cats when spinning 8000 revs. But it's the anti muscle car.
1mainiac Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Kevin I had a RX3 til it shattered the motor racing it. what a insane little toy way faster than people gave it credit for. I had a 94 Probe GT that was a blast to drive as well. Then there was a 280Z that was mid range fast. My cousins ex wife had the fastest grocery getter in Rockford years ago when he put a Vette motor in her Vega Station wagon it would run mid 10's
