NickEverse Posted March 23, 2014 Author Posted March 23, 2014 We were able to put in at the Dnr launch. You'll need 4 wheel, the launch was slick and there's still a little mound of snow at the entrance.

NickEverse Posted March 23, 2014 Author Posted March 23, 2014 Just some skim ice by the launch. There is still ice at the end of the channel but there's plenty enough room to turn around. To clarify, we were fishing in the channel by the warm water outflows.

I'm wary of a slippery ramp with my 17' sylvan because its pretty heavy but I'm totally willing to get out there next week in the cold and get started....especially since those 50's are showing up for a couple of days.
Far Beyond Driven Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 The area in question is the size of a foot ball field. You may want to plan your trip for an off time or bad weather. I may go and just watch the show Saturday morning when ten boats try to troll boards in there.
