I've been using 30 lb 7 strand Malin bright wire for many years, never had an issue.

Morgans Tackle came out with a new wire line last year, we got to run it last year. Very impressed with how it held up to lack of memory. The 30 pound will hold great.

I have been happy with my opti wire, have been using it for 5 or 6 years now. The opti wire seems to be a smaller diameter than the others I have seen at .012, not sure how much of a difference it makes though.
