Slide diver rings and weights

I am planning on switching over my high divers to slide divers this year and I was wondering what you guys are using for weights and rings on them? I currently run mags on my low diver and standard high diver, and I was thinking of running the lite bite slide diver with the standard weight and a mag ring. I am looking to get roughly that 3:1 ratio on the slide diver. Thoughts?

I believe Slide Diver is now making rings and weights made for their own divers to make magnum Slide Divers. I have not seen them yet but they are supposed to have them at the Anglers Avenue show this weekend.

I spoke with Eric from slide diver Friday. He's offering a package deal on a ring and 7 oz weight that he says will hit 150'. I ordered several.

this is the first time I've heard of a 7 oz weight. if you want something that heavy you might want to contact eric. the weight set I got has a 2 oz and a 4 oz weight.

Yeap I talked to him last Saturday and picked up 4 of the 7 oz weights he said he is getting a 2-1 for ever 2 feet of line out he is getting 1 foot down. He will have the new dive charts out by may 1st i think he said.

Just got my 7 oz. weights in the mail yesterday. Look very nice. Going to make a nice addition to my deep wire divers I'm setting up. Come on spring!

We bought a few at the Mull/Keating seminar in Manty. We were also told 2/1 on these.

2:1 ratio for what setting with the new weights?

The 2 to 1 ratio is based on the fact the last fall we were fishing with the ultimate kits on 50 lb. power pro. We had 225 feet of line out, on a number 2 setting out to the side, and snapped one off on the bottom in 109 feet of water.

wow, and that was braid so with wire we are talking maybe better than 2:1. last year on the east end of Lake O we were fishing our mag divers out 330-350. Cut a hundred feet off that with the mag slide divers that sounds good to me.
