HOOK N WOOD Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Does anybody know what the largest paddle, spoon, crank bait etc. you can pull behind a Walker 82mm Deeper Diver. I recently picked up a few for spring Coho, but I was wondering if you can use this size for Kings as well. wasn't sure if you could pull a mag spoon or a 8 inch spinny with fly combo or ace hi plugs. thanks for your help.
young gun Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Basically anything. I run 11" paddles which have the most pull.
sslopok Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Just tighten the screw on the diver if you get false releases.
jodyboy27 Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 I just started running flashers last summer so I really can't comment on the performance at different times of the year but I have tried to attacha couple of photos of the King I caught in about 85' of water off Kettle Point in late July the first day I started running 8" flashers (EChip) and trolling flies. Also had a 15 lbs. Laker earlier in the day off the same combo. These were caught on the downriggers with 2 colours of lead. Only tried this approach twice last year and I was running a diver, flasher, fly combo off one side of the boat but didn't have any luck although I am sure that combo will prove itself given a little more exposure.
