Any success on Apex/Pro troll Apex lures?

I have never used them but wondering if maybe they would be an alternative to running meat, Or if there is a productive method to using them.

The Apex or other flatfish style lures are used more in the North West part of the country. Some fishermen would use rubber bands to hold meat to the backs of these lures.

We tried them years ago with no luck. If I remember right they need to be trolled a bit slower than what we do. I could see maybe instead of a plug in late summer. BW

I used them with very good success in the late '80s for a couple seasons. Ran them clean off riggers mostly. Got away from them when flashers and flies started working much better. I have tried them some over the years since but not much success.
