Same hear Dave , last yr I was working 3 weekends in a row and didnt get out hardly at all, this summer will be different ,I hope. Would really like to do some of these again.

Well, as some of you have seen on other posts I've had on here, my boat was crushed when my barn collapsed. I'm trying to get a replacement as quickly as possible, but I also want the right boat, which is worth waiting for. If anyone knows of any good walkarounds for sale in the 24ft to 28ft range under $25k, let me know.

Thanks,

Scott

I plan on fishing at least some of these events. I don't have to work weekends anymore so I should be out more this year.

I know of a rigged 25 ft cherokee hardtop rigged for 12500 k just reduced. with trailer. http://www.johnsonssupreme.net/1986_Cherokee_Brave_Ludington_MI_224848002.veh

I have fished on this boat since i was about 16 years old. It is in very good shape.

Why the switch back to five fish? More time for Dave to nap between 19" Lakers in the June event?

the change to 6 fish was to line us up more with the Muskegon League, but we really never did anything against them, one thing that we noticed last year was the numbers were down on fish counts, so to make to a little easier on guys like me and Dave, lower the count back to 5 fish.

I'll be happy if I can come in with two fish

You know Dave - I just caught your little funny in the sign-up list. What was your boat name again Killin it or Full Of It:grin:

Working on getting the laker size limit reduced, so I can weigh in five Lakers for 8# in June this year.

300'? I don't think we saw 13' this year in that event. You know the one when my girls fished with me in the row boat?

Maybe Dave want to be on your crew, to help "apply the lotion on the skin"

I find it interesting that we did not see Marty or Shane yesterday at the swap meet. They sent the brains of their operation to the show to check up on the opposition, even though they are on a new boat this year.....

Rumor has it the trees on Lotion show are powder coated bright pink this year to match there frilly undergarments.

Long time lurker first time posting. We are going to try to make as many of these dates as we can. Sounds like a good time and a good way to learn another port as all of my fishing was done out of South Haven last year.

I am however kinda uneasy about going out of a new port in the dark and don't know if we will have time to fish it before the 3rd. What time does everyone start heading out usually? I'd feel much better following someone or maybe its better to wait for daylight? Like I said I've never been there it might be lit up like a x-mas tree i dont know Any input would be great !!! Thanks in advance and hope to fish with you all soon

Welcome to GLF Todd, the 1st event you will have day light at 6am. I normally leave the dock at day break or just before. Most of the guys launch between 5 & 5:30 it is about a 15 - 20 min run to the pier head. Lake Mac is marked well. Except the no wake bouys. If you stay to the south end of the lake you will be fine, I'll pm you a marked up map this weekend.

Todd,

I can wait for you and you can follow us across the lake. Once you set your waypoints it is a nice easy run. I mark the no wake boyus on my GPS and just aim for between them.

Thanks for the welcomes and Jon thank you for the chart. My new gps shows fairly similar to the chart but wasnt going to trust it yet seeing how its just Lowrance base maps and it shows me crossing land to get to the launch in South Haven  New map card has been ordered but not sure I'll have it for the first trip.

Dave i really appreciate the offer but it's a hour and 40 min drive maybe closer to 2hrs with the boat and I wouldn't want anyone to wait on us if we ran into any problems. I will try to plan to be early and if your still there I'll take you up on that offer.

Thanks again

Can't wait to see Lotion show get skunked on the first event!!

His crew left him to own his own boat. The brains of the operation is gone lol!

Dave,

Don't you usually start fishing at 4:00 am? It is really going to hurt yuur numbers if you wait at the launch till 5:30...

We never had any brains, we just follow Ben around and stay as far away from you as possible:grin:

on WMFL league days, I start fishing at 6 just like everyone else.

Every other day... maybe:)

The reason you stay as far away from me is because I already caught the fish out of that area.

unlike this Ryan fella who wanted to talk trash in another thread... :)
