Hotdog71
I have a fellow teacher that enjoys the snow and was wondering if there is a resort in Michigan that has snowmobile rentals available this winter. Would prefer something on the west side of the state, but open to suggestions. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.
highpointdf
Bob,Drove past a couple today. Take 131 north. I believe there were a couple, in kalkaska, or a town or two north. I should have paid more attention I guess, not much snow up there yet.
Priority1
I think there are some rentals in the Houghton Lake Prudenville area. This is between 127 and I75 on M55. Maybe a Google search would give you some choices.
Paulywood
I think there is a place in Baldwin that rents sleds. I think there are quite a few places that rent them if you look.
SeaCatMich
Wolf Lake Motel near Baldwin rents them (http://www.wolflakemotel.com/interest.htm#Snowmobile Rentals). Just need some snow!It is a lot further away but the Indian River area has lots of rentals and lots of nice trails... plus usually lots more snow. silver one
I think there is a place in Baldwin that rents sleds. I think there are quite a few places that rent them if you look. That would be Wolf lake lodge and rental. Good place to stay and you can leave right from the lodge. No staging of the sleds. Right off of M 37 north of baldwin. you can hit the trail north to cadilac, welston, luther, or go south to baldwin and hit the white pine trail south. good central location. Only draw back is how much snow we get. That would determine how far north and where I would rent sleds. hope that helps. Joe, recently reitired ex- sled head.
