LongLine Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 I put this on another board & thought it might be useful to some here: "Here’s an interesting article from the west coast by LeeRoy Wisener on preventing your fishing buddies from leaning overboard and "calling Ralph" i.e. sea sickness cures/prevention. http://www.wisnersinc.com/Fishing%20Info/AvoidSeasickness.html Some say a screaming drag will do the trick but the only guaranteed cure that I ever found for friends was to have them hug the biggest tree they could find."
CaptLevi Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Wow. Sounds alot like the advice I give my customers. I constantly advise them to take the Bonine a day or two in advance but they seem to always wait till 1 hour before like the instructions say. Then it's....rrrrRRRRAAAALLPPHH...pptooii!!!Here's another: Have a paper bag made for clothes, etc.(like Penny's bag). It should crinkin easily. Have the ill sailor place the bag on their bare skin of the chest, then cover back up with shirt. It works quite well. Must be a subconsious thing.
Priority1 Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 A little chum never hurt anything. I keep the wrist bands, pills, and ginger snaps on board. I keep everyone out of the cabin. I will get a paper bag also. It can't hurt.
