News Posted September 24, 2013 Share Posted September 24, 2013 Ashland County's own Land and Water Conservation Department (LWCD) may be directly affected by a cut in federal funding to the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI), which provides grants to restoration and preservation projects in states bordering the five water bodies. Since 2010 the federal program has provided unprecedented funding for protection and restoration efforts on the Great Lakes, but has seen a steady decline in funding every year since.More...
