jimbobber Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I heard a 41 lb king was caught in grandhaven on saturday have any of you heard it to, i have a pic that was forwearded to me but im not sure about it,can any one supply more info ??
highpointdf Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 There was a rumor of one north of GRand Haven, caught in the river and a male, highly unlikely. We fished GH Saturday and Sunday and did not hear anything about it.
fishsniffer Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 seen the pic on my phone...theres a pic on another site and when you see it in full view it looks like a photo shop..but im no expert..so maybe...i would think it would have been brought to a scale somewhere were it true
Just Hook'n Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I heard 44 pounds, but I've not verified either. 40 lb fish - seriously huge if it's true.
Rascal Trophy Fishing Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Can anyone post that pic. of the fish? It might tell us more facts, and I'm curious to see it's length and girth. Thanks.
BenLubbs Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 This is the picture I received on my phone. I heard it was caught in Muskegon channel.
highpointdf Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I'm not going to say one way or another. But his left arm looks odd I see the elbow but where would he be holding it? If it is real that would be quite the catch!
goinsfishin Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I was thinking the same thing about his arm.I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that isn't Muskegon either. Heck of a fish if it is true.
mattmishler Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 33 pounds....not 41...little lie. Boats from our dock
Jason Grimm Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 That must of been the fish we lost on Sun.
DarkBlue Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 The thing that caught my eye was the size of the spoon in its mouth. It looks abnormally large. Just as if someone enlarged the fish and put it back in the persons arms in the pic but forgot to make the spoon the correct size again. I see a few other things that don't match up also. Photoshop pic....fairly certain.Chris

hawghunterII Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Its funny because I got the same text saying 41lbs, but it was a different guy, different boat, and it was definitely photo shopped.
tom Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 My fish. Winner of the derby.Waiting for my check. Sorry guys.
Just Hook'n Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Tom, perhaps you can help explain a few of the items brought up here like1. where is your left hand, and 2. what the heck is in that fishes mouth?
jeffsisson Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 That's not Muskegon channel positive on that

Just Hook'n Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Just asking for anwers, but I guess you answered in your own way, which kinda proves what most people have been saying.Nice photoshop job.
IRon Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Ya know, most people come on here to share info. Read reports, give reports, ask questions..... I guess you just plain can't believe everything you read/see on the Internet. This site is better than most but...... It's getting to the point where I question everything posted that doesn't have something to back it up. If I read a report and there's no pics to back it up then take it for what it's worth, nothing. And even the pics don't mean much obviously. Bait shops are the worst source. Some will always tell you the fishing is "pretty good". Bsbsbsbsbsbsbsbsbs.
